The natural testosterone-boosting market accounts for a large chunk of the health supplement industry, with products to meet every budget. In this article, we focus on a budget-range 'T' booster, costing around $30 per month: Mdrive. Mdrive claims to boost your testosterone, improve workout recovery and provide a sustained energy boost, despite being much cheaper than the market leaders. So, does it deliver?

The two biggest sellers are Boost & Burn and Prime. Unfortunately, Boost & Burn is a proprietary blend, meaning we do not know how much of each ingredient we're getting. As a result, we do not endorse this product. For the remainder of this review, we will focus on Mdrive Prime.
Mdrive Prime Review: Pass or Fail?
Mdrive delivers a generous number of ingredients (ten) for the price. However, a number of those ingredients are severely underdosed. A prime example of this is DHEA, which is dosed at just 5 mg. The effective dosage is at least 50 mg. Another thing that gives us pause is the inclusion of a proprietary blend called S7. None of the ingredients in this blend have been shown to boost testosterone levels.
Despite these letdowns, Mdrive does have enough firepower to make it a decent testosterone booster for people on a budget. We don't particularly love Mdrive, and if you can afford to spend a bit more to get a more rounded, better-dosed product like Testofuel, you should definitely do so. However, if your budget is limited to around $30 per month, you could do a lot worse than Mdrive.

Mdrive Prime Ingredients
For a budget-priced testosterone booster, Prime's extensive ingredient list has ten active ingredients. Let's drill down on each of them to see how effective they are:
1. Vitamin D3 - 10 mcg
Vitamin D3 is a vital nutrient that performs several functions in the body. It needs to be kept at optimal levels to create testosterone and general hormonal balance.
Vitamin D3 helps the body maintain a healthy ratio of estrogen and testosterone. It prevents testosterone from being converted to estrogen. D3 is also able to increase androgen receptor sensitivity, promoting testosterone production.¹
2. Niacin - 50 mg
Niacin, or vitamin B3, is a water-soluble vitamin that may indirectly impact testosterone levels. Niacin promotes blood vessel dilation, increasing blood flow. This can boost sexual health in general and erectile function in particular.²
Niacin can also reduce LDL cholesterol and raise HDL levels, promoting ideal cholesterol balance. Because cholesterol is a precursor to testosterone production, this helps maintain healthy 'T' levels.
3. Vitamin B6 - 10 mg
Water-soluble vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is involved in the synthesis and metabolism of testosterone. It helps turn androgens, such as androstenedione, into testosterone. It can also help control levels of prolactin, which prevents testosterone creation. Vitamin B6 may also help to reduce estrogen levels.³
4. Vitamin B12 - 120 mcg
Vitamin B12 is a water-soluble vitamin that is necessary for the cellular energy production process. Energy supply and metabolic activity can affect testosterone synthesis and overall hormonal balance. A healthy level of vitamin B12 contributes to general energy, indirectly supporting testosterone creation.⁴
5. Chromium - 200 mcg
The trace mineral chromium contributes to insulin action and glucose metabolism, which regulates blood sugar levels. Blood sugar fluctuations may have an impact on how testosterone is regulated.⁵
Testosterone's bioavailability is constrained by the protein sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG), which binds to it. According to some research, chromium may lower levels of SHBG, which could raise levels of free testosterone.
6. KSM-66® Ashwagandha Extract - 600 mg
KSM-66® Ashwagandha Extract is a variety of ashwagandha that has become popular in testosterone boosters. It is an adaptogen that may indirectly boost healthy testosterone levels by lowering stress and fostering harmony inside the body.⁶
Reduced testosterone levels are linked to increased cortisol levels. Taking ashwagandha supplements may help control cortisol levels and hence promote healthy testosterone production.
Ashwagandha may also indirectly boost the synthesis of testosterone and hormonal balance by lowering oxidative stress and inflammation.

The pituitary and hypothalamus are believed to be stimulated by Tongkat Ali, which causes an increase in the production of testosterone. Additionally, it might stop the enzyme aromatase from converting the male hormone testosterone into the female hormone estrogen.⁷ The precise methods by which Tongkat Ali exerts its effects must still be fully understood, which calls for additional study.

8. S7™ - 50 mg
S7 is a blend of green coffee bean extract, green tea extract, turmeric extract, tart cherry, blueberry, broccoli, and kale. Each of these ingredients has general health benefits, but the specific benefit of using them to boost testosterone levels is very shaky. This is, essentially, a filler blend with no practical value.
9. DHEA - 5 mg
The adrenal glands create the hormone dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA). It is a precursor to several other hormones, such as estrogen and testosterone. Studies have shown that supplementing DHEA can raise testosterone levels, especially in people who have low testosterone or DHEA levels.⁸ However, the dosage provided here is woefully inadequate. We'd like to see it increased tenfold.
